Pointing your domain at your hosting

Last updated 25 Oct 2026 · In Domains

To serve a website or email from your domain, it has to point at your hosting. Two ways:

Use our nameservers (recommended)

  1. Open the domain's Domain Management → Nameservers tab.
  2. Click Set to Default (or enter the name servers shown in your hosting control panel) and Save Nameservers.
  3. DNS usually updates within minutes, and up to a few hours.

Keep your own nameservers

  1. At your DNS provider, create an A record for @ and www pointing at your hosting IP (shown in your control panel).
  2. Add the MX records we give you if you use our email.

If the domain is registered with us and you chose our nameservers, it's already pointed at your hosting.
